  • Location of implementation: Romania (Bucharest) and Norway (Oslo);

#REINVENT is not just a manifesto of bilateral cultural collaboration between Romania and Norway, but also a complex initiative with a significant role for long-term social innovation. The project responds to the common priorities of the EU and the EEA, according to which education and culture help us to better appreciate the rich cultural heritage, experiences, beliefs and values we have in common, and to respect our differences.

#REINVENT turns the digital challenge of recent history into added value, reacting to the need to strengthen the theater as a multidisciplinary interactive platform with a role in training young people for an active life.

#REINVENT in numbers:

  1. Four focus groups supported with high school students and teachers of Romanian literature, 2 in physical format and 2 online. The activity aims to select the texts to be used for the performances, from those included in the curriculum for the baccalaureate;
  2. Six innovative theatrical productions to strengthen and develop the audience, out of which 3 in digital live format;
  3. A training program in the field of new technologies for 20 professionals in the dramatic arts sector, in order to reduce the gaps between theater and other entertainment sectors;
  4. A public awareness campaign on the importance of theater education and the benefits of participating in cultural life, to strengthen participatory behavior, based on non-discrimination and intercultural dialogue;
  5. #REINVENT premieres:
    • 3 stage premieres offered to the Romanian public;
    • 3 stage performances offered to the Norwegian public;
    • 3 live premieres in digital format offered for the first time to high school students, including during Romanian language and literature classes;
  6. Seventeen newly created jobs;
  7. Six hundred and fifty-five participants in the #REINVENT activities (high school students, teachers, young people about to leave the child protection system, members of ethnic communities, professionals in the artistic and cultural field;
  8. #REINVENT brings together different generations, young and old alike, online and offline, overcoming geographical, temporal, cultural, linguistic barriers;
