C.I. Nottara Theater organizes a casting for actors according to the criteria detailed below.
- Activity name – Acquisition of art services (actors) covering the cast of 6 performances: 3 online performances with a maximum duration of 50 min, and 3 staged performances with a maximum duration of 1h 40 min.
- Specific conditions:
- 4 actors aged 25 – 35 years old;
- 2 actors aged 35 – 55 years old;
- 1 actor aged 55 – 75 years old;
- 2 actresses aged 21 – 35 years old;
- 2 actresses aged 35 – 45 years old;
- 1 actress aged 45 – 70 years old;
Estimated value:
category I – 14.100 RON, out of which 5.500 RON travel expenses Norway;
category II – 11.500 RON, out of which 5.500 RON travel expenses Norway;
category III – 10.200 RON, out of which 5.500 RON travel expenses Norway;
category IV – 8.800 RON, out of which 5.500 RON travel expenses Norway;
The estimated value will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration the number of roles/performances each actor will be cast in, and it will be specified in the copyright assignment agreement that will be signed by the parties after finalizing the selection.

- The Lucky Mill by Ion Slavici – stage performance
- Modernist poetry script based on King Crypto and Enigel the Lapp by Ion Barbu, Flowers of the Mold, Testament by Tudor Arghezi, I Will Not Crush the World’s Corolla of Wonders by Lucian Blaga, other poems by the three poets or other Modernist poets – online performance
- Rehearsal and performance period: August 1st – September 30th 2022;
- Travel to Norway to perform the shows: 01 – 15 of October 2022
- The Pillars of Society by Henrik Ibsen – staged by a Norwegian director – stage performance;
- Romantic poetry script – The Evening Star by Mihai Eminescu – online performance
- Rehearsal and performance period: June 1st – July 31st 2022;
- Travel to Norway to perform the shows: 01 – 15 of October 2022;
Depending on the availability of the selected directors, they can switch between them the rehearsal and performance period.
The professional file must contain:
- Application for entering the casting addressed to the manager of the institution (CLICK TO DOWNLOAD)
- Copy of ID card or any document that proves the identity, according to law, if applicable;
- Copy of specialized higher education diploma (bachelor degree in Acting), legalized or accompanied by the original;
- Curriculum vitae with photo;
- Portfolio of artistic projects;
The applications for participation in the casting, alongside the professional file, will be submitted at the headquarters of the institution, 20 Magheru Boulevard, district 1, Human Resources Department, Payroll OSH.
The deadline for the submission of the application: March 25th 2022, 12.00
The casting will take place on March 28th – March 29th 2022, starting at 11 a.m., at C.I. Nottara Theater. The period for casting can be prolonged depending on the number of the actors registered in the selection.
Selection criteria for the actors registered for the casting:
- Resenting a scene from the personal repertoire – free choice, maximum 4 minutes – 30 points;
- Reciting a poetry (Lucian Blaga/Tudor Arghezi/ Ion Barbu/ George Bacovia/ Alexandru Macedoski) or presenting a scene relevant for other skills (movement/dance/playing an instrument/singing a song) – 30 points;
- Reading a scene/monologue from The Lucky Mill by Ion Slavici, The Mystery of Otilia by George Călinescu, from the fragments provided by the organizers of the casting – 40 points.
Recommended knowledge and experience (an advantage, not eliminatory):
- work on experimental plays and verbatim drama (a form of documentary theater created from the words and lines said by the people interviewed on a specific theme);
- Knowledge of theatrical aesthetics (theoretical and practical): Brecht, Antonin Artaud, Eugenio Barba, Grotowski etc.;
- Experience in choreo-dramatic performances.
